Penny Berry-Patterson

Penny Berry-Patterson makes limited editions of original prints depicting colourful images inspired by the surrounding Suffolk countryside. Penny's favourite themes are coastal, nautical, natural history, architectural and industrial.

Most of the prints are produced by the relief process. Using sharp gouges, blocks are cut from lino, wood or card. Multi-coloured images require several blocks printed in sequence and register to achieve the desired result. Occasionally Penny uses other processes such as drypoint, collography or mono-printing.

Penny explores a wide range of printing techniques and skills acquired during training at Brighton and North East Essex Schools of Art.

Penny exhibits in several private galleries and through the Suffolk Craft Society, Gainsborough's House Print Workshop.
