Gordon Crossley Died 23rd April 2017. Gordon studied at Wimbledon School of Art and then spent 17 years in advertising and 26 years teaching in a College of Art and Design in London. Gordon exhibited 17 times at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Gordon had been included in group exhibitions in various London and provincial galleries including Madden; Phoenix, New English, The National, RBA and Thompson's Gallery Aldeburgh.

Listed in Who's Who in Art and International Biography. Two paintings can be seen at the Chelmsford and Essex museum.

Gordon's main interest was painting landscapes and seascapes particularly around Sheering in Suffolk and France. Gordon was drawn to a subject by atmosphere and design in the landscape and his fascination with skies.
